Each Vroom Tip includes at least one of the five Brain Building Basics. These prompts help caregivers think about their role as brain-builders in simple, actionable ways!

1. __Look (Red)__ Children use their eyes to learn.
 - See what catches your child’s attention and talk about it. Or connect eye-to-eye, then smile, chat, hug, or make funny faces!

2. __Chat (Purple)__ Children’s brains light up when you talk, sing, or make sounds back and forth with them. 
 - Chat about your day, about food, or about what’s around you. Or, string sounds together for a fun conversation!

3. __Follow (Gold)__ Young children learn best when you follow their lead.
 - Tune into your child’s words, sounds, movements, and ideas! Then respond with your own words and actions.

4. __Stretch (Blue)__ Children’s brains grow strong when you help them stretch their learning further.
 - Keep a moment going: Ask your child a question that starts with what, when, where, how, or why!

Just like Vroom Tips, the five Vroom Brain Building Basics are for adults. These actions reflect what the caregiver is doing, not the child. (Although in some cases they might both be doing it!)

## Color-Coding

While a single Vroom Tip may reflect more than one of the Brain Building Basics, we’ve identified a primary focus for each tip. To make it easy for parents to identify them, each of the Brain Building Basics is assigned a color. Vroom Materials are color-coded to show which Brain Building Basic each Vroom Tip highlights. While we choose to color-code the tips for easy identification, this isn’t a requirement for using Vroom Content. That said, the Brain Building Basics are an important tool to help parents practice brain building on their own!

This Vroom Tip, *Words All Around*, is all about communication and illustrates how conversations can be hand with a child even before they start to speak. Because this tip aligns with the Brain Building Basic "chat," it has been colored purple.

We estimate it should take about four to six hours to get through all the modules if you did it all at once. That said, your progress will save automatically (see notes below) and you can come back at any time, so we highly recommend that you go at a slower pace, involve other stakeholders at your organization, and generally take your time and work thoughtfully. Occasionally you will be asked to provide answers to short questions or respond to a short quiz. Some of these answers will be submitted to the Vroom team for consideration with your application, others are simply for your own benefit and you can revisit them, if helpful, for your application or work plan.

Getting Started

To ensure your progress is saved as work through the Licensing Toolkit here are a __few key things to keep in mind__: 

- The Toolkit must be completed using the __same device and browser__ as when first initiated.
- __Do not__ use private or incognito browsing modes or clear your browser’s cache. 
- If you leave and exit the application, upon return you will start at the beginning of the form. It will remember your answers though and allow you to either change them or click through to next question and see or change any responses you entered earlier.

By the end, you will understand how to apply for an Adaptation, Localization and Translation (A.L.T.) Content License. If your application is approved, you’ll be prepared to begin adaptation. 

This Toolkit will help you and your organization learn how Vroom Content adaptation works.

About the Toolkit

A sample version of the Adaptation, Localization and Translation (A.L.T.) Content License can be found here. You will not be granted an A.L.T. Content License until you have completed this Toolkit and applied for a license using the application form at the end of Module 4. We are sharing this sample document to allow you to get a feel for the terms of use for Vroom Content as assigned by the Bezos Family Foundation and Vroom.
